The hardware of the BlueLine control system platform is categorized into three distinct section, based on deployment inside a given architecture. These sections are as follows: - Local bus hardware, which are:
- installed in a local bus rack type RC01 - actively communicating on the BlueLine I/O bus system - any of the following sub-types:
-> analog process input / output modules (AI01, AI03, AI04, AO01, AO02) -> discrete process input / output modules (BI01, BI02, BO01, BO02) -> controller modules (CP01) -> utility modules (TD01, BE01, IA01, BE02) -> communications modules (SI01, DH01, DH02)
- Intraplant bus hardware, which is capable to communicate with a legacy ABB plant bus type P42.
-> intraplant bus gateway module (IPBGW)
- Stand-alone devices, which are special purpose boards for very specific tasks
-> Operation data counter (APODC)
